Invested

Wheew, been a stretch since my last post, I blame that completely on work though. I'm not ready to let this project go just yet. Kind of a funny way to start considering the name of this story.

We're moving away from ships and investing on land. Much of this story is going to be guess-work. I've tried  the research method, and over here it's like pulling teeth, no one wants to lose any. I don't blame them though, who wants to talk about gay police in Kuwait? Nothing gets more macho and masculine than the 'Force'.

Rafid's a police officer, struggling with a secret, and family obligations in an environment he doesn't really feel part of. What's the fine line between being happy and belonging, and will Rafid have to cross it to find out?
This is a WIP, multi-chaptered work. Please stick around for the rest of it, no matter how long it takes.

On Board the Bateel

On Board the Bateel was the first piece I wrote for this blog. It was completed during my studies on the relationship between art and the sea in Kuwait.

It's the story of one kept man, serving on a diving ship and battling temptation.
I kept a lot of the original sea terms in there to make it more authentic. I didn't provide any glossary at the end, but I might in the future.

I'm swimming in murky water, pretty much blind, commenting or leaving any notes, will surely help steer me true.

Intro post

I'm kind of terrified of making this first post, because it cements my will to start and maintain a blog with such a controversial topic.
I suppose the best way to start would be to just introduce myself and this blog first.

Hi, I'm Writer, aka the starter of this mad project.

Mad project on the other hand is an idea I came up with one hot and dusty day. I come up with a lot of projects, and this one in particular interests me as a wishful person who wants to be a writer, but can only practice their hands at the forbidden art of m/m stories.

Due to the nature of this blog, please be advised that it is 100% not for kids. Also due to the sensitive topic and location, nothing explicit will be posted/published but will most certainty be written.

Awkward intro out of the way, I'm curious if this page will wither and die like all so many others, or attempt to flourish.

Questions, thoughts, threats? Comments are available for all of these.
